Lazzanight…stands for “dua belaz science eight”, is my class nickname. It was officially formed when we were in our eleventh grade. Sony was the founder of this nick.
The nick itself was made, commonly because the need of having such a cool name to unite us, and particularly because, at that time, we were designing our class T-Shirt and were confuse about choosing a proper nickname for our class.
The fact is…the nick Lazzanight does not just end in our class T-Shirt, but it has grown more and more…even become a URL link which is floating somewhere in the cyber world of WWW [World Wide Web].
The idea for making a LaZzaNigHt forum was firstly pioneered by Bhakti who made a Lazzanight group in Friendster. Because Bhakti realized that she would be rarely online to maintain the group, Bhakti asked me if I wanted to organize that group. I said yes, and then I became the owner that group.
For the first time, I made a discussion board named Dear Diary. The usage for it was mainly an aid for Lazzanight’ers to share their feelings.
Unfortunately, the participation from the other LZ’ers was very low…most of them [who have FS acc.] did not have time to write for the thread…but it was quite reasonable, because the Friendster network itself is so lemot and lelet……
Next few weeks, the group had been so troubled, the thread Dear Diary could not be opened anymore !! I had tried every single possibility to recapture the data and store it on my computer as a backup….but the result was nothing…I even could not see the members list !!
Then, there came the idea to make a forum, a steady and rarely-troubled forum in which we could gather together in the cyber world and share our story to each other. Before I started to choose which board provider for the forum, I suddenly remembered that I did have ever registered a board forum in invisionfree. The forum itself was firstly made for my school’s alumni forum, but unfortunately, my school’s alumni are one step forward : they have had their own forum….so the board which I had already registered was left unattended. So, I decided to re design the board forum, from a school’s alumni forum became a class-website-like forum.
First of all, I removed all of the thread which was not suitable for my class and added some more threads like Dear Diary, DUDU, Newz, Rulez, and FAQ, and also Off Topics. I also altered the appearance of the forum, in order to beautifully done it, I tried hard to study and understand about CSS [cascading style sheet] script languages, after mastering some of the CSS syntax, I added a background and also a shoutbox for the forum.
With that kind of such an improved version from the FS Group, I had expected a great responses from my classmates, I expected that they would be actively helped to cheer the forum up, expected that they would be willing to AT LEAST READ the post I had made and understood the manner in a forum….
But…..it was all just turn into a wish…an ungranted wish….what have done was that they even did not ever read the rulez that I have made, they rarely [almost never] read the post which have been made by the others…..and even they ONLY registered and NEVER write anything…..[OK, that's the hiperbol...they did read the post made by the others, BUT it was just in a particular thread, and most of them, who rarely log in, were too lazy to read from the last post since their last visit.....they act as if the other threads/topics were just a complement and did not need a feedback....]
When I asked them why….why they were so uncare with their own class forum….why they were so uncare with THEIR OWN friend’s work, with me ?!?!?! They answer…..”we don’t have much time to write”….”the cost is too much”….”I am TOO LAZY to read your post, it is TOOOOOOO looong”…….
Those are what I got from my hard work from founding and maintaining my class forum….
Above all…..last Tuesday [Oct 30] our teacher gave us assignment to make a blog….and guess what….in less than a week, almost half of my classmates have made their blog PLUS a LOT…and I mean a LOT…writing in their blog…..they were willing to spend lots of their time….they had enough time to write SUCH A LOT of writing….they WERE willing to spend their cash for the internet…….
Wasn’t it so pathetic….wasn’t it SO disappointing….wasn’t it so TRAGIC…..????
They do NOT have enough time to write in their OWN class forum….BUT they DO have enough time to write SUCH A LOT of writing in their blog…just because the blog is a task from the teacher while the class forum is JUST their friend’s wish…
They do NOT have enough money to pay for the internet cost for visiting their OWN class forum….BUT they DO have enough money to pay for their blog task….just because the blog is a task from the teacher while the class forum is JUST their friend’s wish…
They do NOT have any desire to READ and give reply for the thread in their OWN class forum…BUT they DO have SUCH A HIGH MOTIVATION to learn how to make a blog, how to POST a writing, etc…..just because the blog is a task from the teacher while the class forum is JUST their friend’s wish…
The other very tragic plus so annoying event is when one of my friend talked AS IF they knew everything, AS IF he/she has participated and gave high contribution to their forum class, AS IF he/she was the only one who knew about the latest news…..
www.lazzanight.co.nr VS Blog……..A tragic tragedy……..

Yes, yes, I absolutely agree with you. This selfishness must be eradicated!!!!!(As if I weren’t selfish).(Heyyy, I am not!!!). As the captain of lazzanight, I am ashamed with their attitudes. They don’t wanna think about the admin’s hardwork( How come, how come????). Still, don’t give up!!! I think they also have their own reasons to do such a thing. Yo wes. Ciao
